School is out for summer…

Posted by cjoshua15 on May 23, 2007

School is out for summer, again.  It seems like the year just started in some respects but in others I can’t believe it took this long to get over with.  I look at my daughter and see that time has gone quickly.  It seems like yesterday she was just getting ready to start kindergarten.  Time has flown and with it blossoms young adults from children.  I started thinking how sometimes it is easy to say that life is going by real quick.  It is kind of like a rollercoaster though.  It goes really fast and it goes up and down and sometimes turns upside down, it straightens back out and then it comes to a stop.  Some folks run to the end of the line to keep riding, some get off because once was enough, and some just never get on.  Even though we get to live an estimated 80 years or so on average, our lives go as quick as the rollercoaster to God.  This life is just a quick blink of what we have ahead of us.  We accept the challenge of the rollercoaster of life and when it stops we do it again, but in the end, when we finally get off because we are done, acceptance of Him as our Lord and Savior brings us to the next phase which is eternal life in Heaven with Him.  The ride causes nausea, headaches, and some great thrills, so does life.  The saving grace is in the end of the ride, He will be there waiting.  Choosing Him has made the ride better, it never takes out the nausea or headaches, it just makes it more tolerable because I know what is waiting for me at the end.
